With his projected victory in the District of Columbia, CBS News now estimates Mitt Romney has 591 delegates. 1,144 are needed for the nomination.

After all the votes are counted, Mitt Romney will have won the Arizona Republican primary, CBS News projects. Based on exit polling estimates, Romney has a slight edge over rival Rick Santorum in a hard-fought race in Michigan. 3,408 activists voted from 9am Thursday through 1pm Saturday,

Straw poll conducted on-line for the Washington Times by Tony Fabrizio.

Per the Washington Times — Romney’s 38% was the highest of any candidate since George W. Bush won 42 percent of the vote in 2000, en route to the nomination and the White House. The poll wasn’t held from 2001 through 2004, but has been held every year since then.
